our insurance approved my breast reduction surgery!!!!! Okay, not nearly as exciting as being pregnant, sorry if I made anyone think that would be the news, but guys, this is huge!
I have wanted this surgery for so long and thought about it for years and I really thought insurance would say no because they don’t even cover my chiropractic care. This news totally turned my day around after finding out that my only full time kid I had for next year was not going to be coming back….grrr!
Now, J, probably not going to be nearly as excited about this news but hopefully he’ll continue to take the approach of if it makes me happy, it makes him happy, lol.
So, surgery is scheduled for July 11th because I have a Young Living conference in SLC at the end of June. I am so, so, so excited!!! Until then, I’m going to continue focusing on working out. I started at this new gym my neighbor goes to because they had a 30 days for $30 deal and I’m really liking it. I take the 6am class (which totally sucks to get out of bed). It’s not crossfit because we’re not doing huge weights, it’s pretty much kettle bells and body weight, but there is a WOD and not the kind of gym that you show up to anytime you want and do your workout. Problem is, I’m now going to have to have 2 gym memberships. 😦
So, yep, that’s my big news that totally couldn’t wait until Friday favorites. 🙂
Hope you’re all having a great week!
Lots of Love~Dawn
This is awesome!!!! I’m so happy for you!! 🙂
Thank you! It’s about time something goes in the right direction, lol. 🙂
Absolutely!! You deserve this! I’m so excited for you and selfishly excited to learn from your experience as my surgery is a month after you! 🙂
Now it’s just too bad we didn’t get an adoption match a month after you, we’d totally be in sync then, lol. 🙂 I’m actually okay with it though and I’m sure that’s because we have L (for now) and it doesn’t give me a whole lot of time to worry about why no one’s picking us.
Congrats!!! It’s AMAZING. It will change your life. I’ll probably have another one in a few years.
Thank you! Okay, so you’ve done this before, which I think I remember reading about. How bad is recovery and how annoying is it to wear a bra 24/7, especially in a WI summer? Unfortunately, this is when it has to be done because I have the time off and our deductible has already been used up and it starts over Sept. 1st.
Well my doctor performed mine only using liposuction so I only had two incisions about the size of a staple, so I can’t speak to what the incision pain might be like. I did have a TON of bruising that was pretty painful. I couldn’t lift my arms so I needed Kevin to wash my hair for me for about a week, and obviously couldn’t sleep on my stomach. Overall it wasn’t bad, it was pretty easy. If I do it again I will do the full monty to get the lift as well.
YAY such great news! So very happy for you!
